This week was a relatively quiet week. My oldest spent one night at a friend’s house. He and my daughter also spent two nights at my parents house and the younger two joined them for the second night.
While all four were away, my husband and I had a nice date night! It was our first time going out to dinner without any little ones in over six months. It was so nice to reconnect and eat dinner without cutting anyone’s food! 🙂
I used the quiet time to get caught up on some housework that desperately needed to get done and prepped a few things from my weekly CSA share for the freezer. This is the chard that I chopped and blanched.
I forgot to mention in last week’s post that our town always has 4th of July fireworks the weekend before the 4th. The whole family went and all of the children stayed awake until the very end. It was so much fun watching my 17 month old ooh and aah as the sky lit up. I left my camera in the car, so I don’t have any photos.
The older two asked to light sparklers on the 4th, but it was raining, so we did them on the 5th.
